Beach
This weekend I went to the beach with my cousin and his friends. As it turns out, another of our cousins was arriving from Seattle the same day, so she came straight from the airport.
The beach we went to was about three hours away, at Ocean City, and known for the wild horses that live there. When we got there, we saw the wild horses just walking everywhere, in the scrub by the beach, the parking lots, and in the water.
We set our stuff down, laid it out and started getting in the water. We had only been in the water a few minutes when we noticed most of the people started standing up and looking just past the surf. There were dolphins swimming around, doing jumps and showing off. It was quite spectacular, and just amazing to see them so close to shore.
The whole day was great... hanging out on real, actual sand, eating snacks, napping, playing soccer in the sand, splashing in the waves.
At one point in the afternoon, we had to move shop due to an ornery horse digging through our bags of food and standing on our bags. The people near us kept telling us to quit feeding the horse, but we really had much less to do with that than the horse being persistent. We grabbed our stuff and moved it, and the horse followed. Finally we grabbed it and moved it past a bunch of people and the horse moved on to bother the next people on the beach.
It was a great day, and at the end, I was exhausted! Not to mention, colossally sunburnt!
I have a number of interviews lined up for this next week. I'm excited, and a little apprehensive. I love going on interviews, seeing how new offices work, and meeting people. Then, there is the worry that they won't like you, and leave you without a job. Other than that, it should be quite fun. It looks like there is one nearly every day this week, either in person or over the phone. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.
